The CTASA BoD has had multiple discussions regarding the current USPSA situation. We have decided to temporarily suspend all USPSA matches until further notice. Our 1st Thursday, and 3rd Tuesday matches at Gritr as well as our 3rd Sunday match at ETTS will be non-affiliated Hit Factor matches using the same basic rules that everyone is familiar with. For the most part our members won’t see any difference between the matches that we have held in the past and the ones we will be holding now other than that the club will not be financially supporting USPSA. (1/26/2024)
Per CTASA policy, under no circumstances will children under 12 years of age be allowed in club bays during matches. (12/25/2023)
It is important that our competitors WITHDRAW from a match if they are unable to attend.
We have a number of competitors that sign up for matches and then no-show without withdrawing. This prevents waitlisted competitors an opportunity to compete. Withdrawing in a timely manner is essential for these matches to run properly.
Frequent offenders will not be allowed to squad for the next match, and will only be allowed to compete if there is space available at the start of that match. (12/7/2023)
Gritr match schedule – CTASA will be closing sign in at 5:50 p.m. for ALL matches at Gritr. We need to be starting these matches closer to the 6 p.m. start time in order to finish the matches on time. Please arrive promptly, pay the range, then check in with CTASA by 5:50 p.m. (10/3/2023)
IDPA rules require membership in order to compete in IDPA matches. If you are a new participant, you can shoot your first 3 matches without membership. After that, membership is required. (1/23/2023)
CTASA requires all competitors to enter their FULL name on all waivers, AND on your Practiscore sign up for each match.
A first and last initial, or a made up name will no longer be accepted. (12/6/2022)
